Brigitte van Ooijen is a Dutch artist and illustrator with her roots in traditional media like acrylic paints on canvas and ink on paper. In recent years she started to create digital artworks. Her work can be recognized by a clear esthetic with her use of bright colours and a balance between stylised lines and complexity that bring a certain elegance.

About Atelier van Ooijen

With her roots in traditional techniques of making art the artist Brigitte van Ooijen started exploring new horizons by taking her artmaking on to a new medium. It turned out this new medium challenged the artist into learning new ways of expression. After some years of working with this new medium the artist developed a distinct style unique for her work made by hand digitally. She is utilizing the possibilities of this medium and made this into a new craft.

Each line is purposefully put in place by hand and the complete set of lines resembles patterns that can be found in nature like a fingerprint or the lines found in wood. Every single line has a unique shape so the completed work always has a natural feel to it.
